In Russia, as court statistics show, there is a particular attitude toward prenuptial agreements, corporate and partnership agreements, wills, and estate planning matters. Private individuals address problems as they arise, without planning everything in advance; if there is love in the family, there is no need to divide property; businesses are set up exclusively by friends, so it is possible to trust each other 100% and not put agreements in writing; and there is no point in dealing with inheritance until you are 70 years old. This is, of course, all ironic, but in practice private individuals in Russia rarely take a well-considered approach to the future of their assets.
