Maxim Klyuchnikov held a meeting with Belgian lawyers to discuss the unfreezing of assets of Russian citizens in Euroclear
During a meeting with representatives of the legal community in Brussels, important aspects of the asset unfreezing process were discussed:
Details were clarified regarding the Belgian Treasury’s practice of responding to unfreezing applications;
The actual process of transferring assets by Euroclear was discussed;
It was established that the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance has begun actively issuing licenses not only in respect of cash, but also securities.
Our team continues to actively submit applications for licenses to the Belgian Treasury and the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance - in the latter case with greater confidence.
