The ALPINE Tax team assisted in obtaining a licence from the Belgian Treasury for the unblocking and transfer of a client’s assets frozen by Euroclear in implementation of European sanctions.
We are pleased to report that the Belgian regulator reviewed the application submitted by an ALPINE Tax client and issued a positive decision to unblock the assets, as well as to permit their further transfer to an account opened with a European bank.
Please note that to obtain a licence, the following are required:
• a European residence permit;
• an account opened with a bank in one of the EU countries or Switzerland.
